Single Person Load Test

As expected, I was unable to lean back fully without being in danger of tipping over. This should not be an issue once the rest of the boats components are attached. A pleasant surprise is that the hull floated two inches higher than expected.

The Float Test!

Yay! The boat is watertight and able to float. It sits unexpectedly high in the water which helped to sway some of my concerns about load carrying ability.

Hydrofoil Sailboat - The Bottom Is On!

Now the bottom is completely on and I'm in the process of trimming off the overhanging scraps and sealing the small gaps and holes. Then I will sand it all down until it is fair and ready for fiberglassing.

Hydrofoil Sailboat Photos

In these pictures you can see the cinder blocks being used as weights to hold the plywood in place while the epoxy dries.
